Game: Hades

Genre: Action Roguelike

Hades is a fast pace 2d action roguelike like developed by Supergiant Games you are Zagreus the son of hades, your purpose on this game consist in scape from the underworld (hell) through a series of challenges and avoiding death what is almost unavoidable.

The whole cycle goes around repeatedly runs through dungeons generated procedurally such as, the order of dungeons, the monsters you must face, the enhancement items and buffing skills. narrative, temporary power-ups in game as “boons”, except the main bosses, also you can interact with various NPCc for more power-ups and narrative to enhance your skills and be able to defeat the final boss.

This game highlights real-time, combat-heavy action requiring and too much aye reflection.

As a roguelike game in which it is used to implement a randomly generated level (Procedural) and permadeath (when you die you lose everything gained so far and start from scratch) in the contrary Hades go a bit out of the line and combine these elements with persistent upgrades, creating a modern, repayable experience.

Hades is all about player choice, through all the game you have to take decisions that will effect the way you play and improve your odds in your favor in order to pass the game as soon as possible ironically, even though it’s a game that if you are not get used to repetitive cycle from the start it will break your mind and frustrate a lot, but I think is that one of the characteristics will make you play it a lot at least in my case.

You can basically customize everything with enhancements you want take with you, you can pick a weapon of your choice and set how difficult you want to play with items.

Throughout the game, it is up to you how you want to look like in every game,

With respect to the game cycle, when the player dies every time respawns on the start of the run, player return to the house of hades, even though the items you gained during the run are lost you keep some permanent items, in which is the key to progress in the game.

The soundtrack, composed by Darren Korb is widely acclaimed with dynamic tracks that shift with combat intensity and top-tier voice acting that adds depth to characters and narrative

GOAL

The main goal is to scape from the Underworld going through all in it killing Hades and reaching Greece. Also, the game has secondary goals for helping the player to pass the main goal. There are also narrative goals or related to it, improving the relationship with NPCs will help you pass the game too

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

In my experience, Hades is a game I have enjoyed a lot. Its design is very intuitive and minimalist, with a straightforward layout that makes it easy to navigate. The cartoony, hand-painted visuals immediately caught my attention, and the animations and visual effects make combat feel dynamic and engaging. I also appreciated how simple it is to improve player items and upgrades, which keeps progression satisfying. Although the repetitive nature of the runs could feel boring at first, especially during the first 20 hours, I still find the game highly enjoyable and would definitely recommend it to others
